Hi friends, and welcome to my first summer home tour of the season! If you are coming over from Laura of Inspiration for Moms, welcome. I always adore everything Laura does and thank you for making your way over from her spot on the tour.
And, as always, a huge thank you to Marty of A Stroll Thru Life for having me on this fun tour…it’s always one of my favorites! I’ll be sharing a Summer Living Room Tour with you today.
Having grown up at the beach, a summer home just feels natural to me. All year long I await the spring and summer months simply for the decorating. I love the clean, clutter free aesthetic this season can bring and for many reasons I always cherish my summer home each year.
In the summer I like to pair down and lighten up. Simple accessories and subtle hints of the outdoors are what it’s all about. Natural elements always make an appearance but gorgeous yet seasonally appropriate pillows and throws always find a way in.
This year accessories were moved around, nothing new here, but splurges were made on pillows that will carry me through to fall and possibly even the holidays. The pom poms on this pillow and the XL black and white striped lumbar were immediate heart stealers!
The blushy/peach dot pillow was a hold over from spring.
The black and white lumbar pillow is truly a site for sore eyes, and I can’t wait already to use it this fall in my fall/winter bedroom.
This embroidered pillow in soft blush was love at first site.
And paired with the pom pom pillow on this side of the sofa it is just perfect!
Accessories in white (white pot here) with faux fern stems were carefully chosen as coffee table decor, along with a favorite round tray that’s been around for a while. The white pot has the perfect amount of texture and well, of course you know I love my hex bone bead strand.
A fun basket (similar basket here) was repurposed and added for texture and to store lightweight throws for summer.
On the other side of the space is the TV gallery wall! The only major change here is that I removed my faux olive tree temporarily and replaced it with a favorite basket full of fun pillows. Also added this amazing white vase (similar & equally amazing!) with my favorite faux eucalyptus stems.
And I moved this amazing light blue lamp from the dining room.
The details here are simple and were repurposed from other areas of the house for a fresh, new look!
Two of my favorite pillows (xl lumbar here) and my all time favorite lidded basket…
And in case you were curious about that cute little pouf over there…here’s a close up. We use poufs and stools non stop around here and I’m really loving this one (similar – unfortunately mine is sold out already) with the stripes and tassels for summer!
